The Highland Fiber Artist hosted the day long Fiber Fair in the Marshfield City Park-May 15th,2004.
Demonstrations of Sheep Shearing, Spinning, Weaving, Carding, Knitting, Bobbin Lacemaking, and Quilting were given during the day. There were also two workshops, one on Tri Loom Weaving and one on Grooming Angora Rabbits.
Children enjoyed the hands-on Fiber Art projects as well as the Sheep and Llamas. Watching Arthur Hernandez shear sheep was fascinating.
Vendors offered fiber equipment, fibers and yarn as well finished pieces for sale.
The first annual Fashion Show was held showcasing lovely garments made by Guild members.
There was also a fleece competition and a handspun skien competition. Winners received beautiful handwoven ribbons.
